At Fort Johnson Baptist Church we believe that parents are on the front lines to disciple their children to a Christ-centered life. The leaders and volunteers in FJBC Family Ministry are trained and ready to assist parents with this goal through Small Groups, Extended Teaching Care (ETC) and Kid Connection.
Small Group classes are lead by a wonderful group of loyal FJBC volunteers. We are currently working our way through The Gospel Project, a theological and age-appropriate Christ-centered study of the Bible. Small Group is held on Sundays at 9:15 am for 1 year through fifth grade.
Extended Teaching Care
Extended Teaching Care is provided for children 1 year old through Kindergarten during service on Sundays at 10:30 am. Volunteers build on the lesson taught in Small Group time from The Gospel Project curriculum.
Kids Connection is offered for children in first through third grades and is led by select FJBC members, where they will continue to build on the lesson taught during Small Group from The Gospel Project curriculum. Kids join their parents in the sanctuary Sundays at 10:30 am for praise and worship through song and are dismissed to Kids Connection at the beginning of the sermon.
Nursery care is available for birth through 1 year for parents who would like to attend Small Group on Sundays at 9:15 am and Sunday Service at 10:30 am.
Visitors and guests should arrive 15 minutes early in order to register their children in our KidCheck security system and drop their children off in the age-appropriate class.
Members and regular attendees will check their children into KidCheck via the KidCheck app or by using one of the check-in stations. All children in our care will require an identification sticker placed on their back with parent/guardian contact information.
Parents will be notified via text to the number they provided if they are needed during service time. At the conclusion of service, parents will be required to turn in the printed Guardian Receipt to the FJBC volunteer before we will release their child back to them.
